This page was created in Procreate while I was diving into the brush engine to test its native tools. My main focus was the tactile feeling of the pencils and chalks, prioritizing the act of experimentation over the pressure of completing a formal drawing. Whenever I found a brush that felt right, I would immediately test it by sketching a small subject to see how it performed under different pressures.

The rolling hills in the upper left and the female portrait were both explorations of the pencil engine, while the Monstera in the lower right was drawn from imagination by intuitively building volumes out of values. The building at the bottom was a shift in texture, likely using an ink-style brush to see how it handled structured lines. This entire page was purely experimental with no specific goal in mind. It served as a reminder that I need to revisit architectural and environmental work more often.

Since I still feel a lack of experience with backgrounds and nature, I am making a self-note to focus more on architecture, floral studies, and environmental elements in my future sketches.
