01 — What is the purpose of this website?

It is a dedicated art journal and digital archive designed to showcase the daily evolution of artistic growth, from raw studies to finished paintings. It serves as both a public gallery and a private laboratory for creative experimentation.

02 — How often is the gallery updated?

Time is not a friend of mine, but i will try my best. As long as i am alive >_> i will try to update regularly. My goal is to reach at least 1,000 pages in this sketchbook. If i could draw a page a day, it would take me almost 3 years to complete.

03 — Can I use the images found here?

Yes, but with credit. Share my work, but don't claim it as your own and don't sell it. If you want to use it for commercial purposes, please contact me. Don't forget to credit me and link back to this website. Thanks!

04 — Is there a story behind every page?

Some pages may be accompanied by insights or narratives that describe the technical process, the emotional inspiration, or the specific challenges faced during the creation of the piece. If the page does have a story, it will have an icon of page hinting page story.

05 — What are your tools of trade for the artworks?

The artworks are primarily created using digital painting software such as Photoshop, Procreate, or Clip Studio Paint (most used). I'm using either iPad Pro or Wacom Intuos. Aside from that, I tend to use a lot of line smoothing if the surface is too slippery as the friction is not the same as on a paper / rough drawing surface.

06 — Do you use references?

Yes, I do. References contain visual data that helps me to create the artwork. References are crucial for studying and doing analysis of the visual principles and design principles the reference is composed of. I also use references to get inspired by other artists' work. I'll try to put my own spin on the reference and make it my own. Using references is crucial for growth as an artist, be it photo references, other artists' work, or even real life.

07 — How long does one page take?

That is a big variable. It can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours, depending on the complexity of the artwork and the approach I'm taking. Im trying to vary the time I spend on drawubg on each page to keep things interesting and challenging. The way i feel on the day also plays a big role in how long it takes me to complete a page. The momentum and the goal for the page has a big part in how long it takes me to complete a page.

08 — Who is your favorite Artist?

Everyone who is passionate about art and is trying to improve their craft.

09 — What are the best ways to improve as an artist?

Draw and draw a lot! Experiment, dont have fear of making mistakes. Do analysis of other artists' work by studying them. Master the Visual Principles and Design Principles by studying them and applying them in your work. Keep a sketchbook and draw in it regularly. There is no magic bullet to becoming a better artist other than practice and dedication. Isolate the things you want to improve on and focus on them for a certain period of time, dont jump from one thing to another too often. If you want to get better at something, you have to put in the hours by practicing it, over and over again by refactoring that knowledge over period of time staying consistent.
